Blanche Nettles Powers is a visual artist working primarily in painting and drawing. She maintains her studio practice in Savannah, Georgia. Born in Rochester, Minnesota, Blanche earned an MFA in painting from Savannah College of Art and Design. She has been awarded several artist residencies which have taken her to various parts of the United States, including New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, Wyoming, and Colorado. Recently, Blanche began a project to restore a vacant Victorian home c.1888, in Savannah's Historic Landmark District, and plans to relocate her studio practice to the restored building upon completion. Exhibitions of Blanche's work have been featured in The Week Magazine and Mutual Art Magazine.
