Solo exhibition Percolate presented by Laney Contemporary is on view June 6 through August 17, 2024, opening reception Thursday, June 6. Artist conversation with Lisa Jaye Young scheduled for Thursday, July 11 at 5:30 pm.

Blanche Nettles Powers earned an MFA in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design, and an MEd in Art Education from Georgia Southern University. Born in Rochester, Minnesota, she maintains her studio practice in Savannah. Solo exhibitions of her work have been presented by Kim Foster Gallery of New York, Laney Contemporary of Savannah, and Savannah College of Art and Design. Juried group exhibitions include Artfields in South Lake, SC and The Tallahassee International at FSU Museum of Fine Art. Nettles Powers has been selected for several artist residencies, including MASS MoCA,, Vermont Studio Center, and SCAD’s NYC Studio Workspace. She has been awarded fellowships at Jentel Foundation in Banner, WY, and Anderson Ranch Art Center in Snowmass, CO. Her work is in collections of Memorial Health University Medical Center, Hotel Indigo, and SCAD, as well as numerous private collections.
